Friday evening features a group supper at Cavens Arms followed by our famous Pub Crawl around some of the Historical Pubs of Dumfries. Several men will wear kilts but it is not required. You do not need to drink large quantities, nor do you need to drink alcohol. We spend about 30 minutes in each pub, take loads of photos, and the evening moves rather quickly. Sandwiches await us at the final pub.

Saturday evening is the main event with a Drouthy Neibors Supper - good company, good jokes, good poetry, good drink, and an outstanding three course Traditional Scottish meal. We will be having our Drouthy Neibors Supper the very same room where Burns Himself Supped! Guests will be seated in the Globe Inn's wee back dining room where Robert Burns was a regular visitor and his chair still resides. The Globe Inn (established 1610) is 404 years old this year and a building of amazing historical importance. Burns called the Globe "His Favourite Howff.
A wee tour of Robertsons malt collection typically follows the meal.

Friday Pub Crawl and supper- cost is up to you- what you choose to eat and drink will determine the cost. Supper is generally £9-£14 per person, pints are £2.30-£2.90. Your first drink is at Ferintosh (our treat) and there is a buffet of sandwiches in the last pub (also our treat).

Saturday Burns Supper is £20 per person for the three-course meal. Your drink is up to you. The Globe has a fully stocked bar, Real Ale, and a very good malt selection.

Each person is requested to add a bottle of Single Malt Scotch Whisky to the Malt Table for the weekend. (Robertson will add 8 - 10 bottles) All guests are invited to sample and enjoy all the assorted bottles on the table all weekend long. (And if there is any left in your bottle after the weekend is over - you are encouraged to take it home with you).

The tariff for an ensuite room is £66 per room per night (2 people Bed and Breakfast). The tariff for a non-ensuite room is £62 per room per night (2 people Bed and Breakfast). Single rooms are £35 per night (Bed and Breakfast).

Other matters:

You are encouraged to bring your camera- there are hundreds of photo opportunities.

You have time Friday and Saturday to go exploring during the day- we encourage you to do so.

Dress for the Pub Crawl is casual - dress in layers and be ready for rain and to walk on cobblestones- it will be cold outside and warm in the pubs.

Dress for the Drouthy Neibors Supper is evening dress. Individuality, comfort, and style is preferred over the standard and typical. This is a celebration of friendship and drink.

Kilt Hire can be arranged through Anderson Kilts, Dumfries.

Everyone is expected to participate in the Drouthy Neibors Supper. We hope everyone will have a poem, joke, or story to tell during the supper. The only requirement is that the poem, joke, or story related to the theme of "friendship and drink". We welcome anyone to sing or play an instrument as part of the evening. The focus of the event is on having fun, eating good food, drinking good whisky, and entertaining each other.

There are only 6 Rooms (to sleep 12 people) and 12 seats at the table (14 including Robertson & Emma.) Both Rooms and Supper Tickets Sell out very quickly!!! Please Book yours ASAP.

We hope to see you here!
